This is Day Two of 3650 Minutes of Prayer. This episode begins with a focused exhortation on identity and purpose, drawing our attention to the meaning of the word workmanship as revealed in Scripture. In Ephesians 2:10, the Apostle Paul uses the Greek word poiēma—a word that describes a crafted work, a masterpiece, or a work of intentional design. It is not something mass-produced or accidental, but something formed with thought, skill, and purpose.
In the Hebrew understanding, this idea echoes the work of God as Yotser—the divine Former and Craftsman—who shapes with care and intention. Together, these truths remind us that our lives are not random outcomes, but deliberate expressions of God’s creative will. We are not merely created to exist, but created to walk—to live out the good works God has already prepared. These reflections lead us into prayer, inviting us to rest in the truth that we are God’s workmanship: formed, shaped, and appointed according to His purpose.
Prayer & Reflection Scriptures (NKJV / AMP)
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 (AMP)
For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared for us beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].
There is One true God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is One God and One Spirit Who has redeemed us all. I am Mathew Sekanjako, a believer in Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMashiach), the one Son of God. I serve and confess God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This intercession is offered in faith, in obedience, and in love, for all who will listen.
