Jesus says "Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth".

Sanctification is the second work of grace after Salvation(i:e having a pure heart); as the root of sin (the adamic nature) is being uprooted making us fit to live a Holy life here on earth and to see God as the Bible says without Holiness (Sanctification), no man shall see the Lord.
