Our fourth value at CMC is surrendered obedience. When God speaks, He will call us to obedience. How many of us have been called by God to do something and it scares us to death? Obedience to God is a scary place to be. God is never going to call you to do something that He isn’t going to provide for. Through the story of Jonah, we see the effects of Jonah's disobedience. However, we also see that God never quit pursuing Jonah just like He never quits pursuing us, even in the midst of our disobedience. Your disobedience does not forfeit your second chance with God. We are going to be a church who commits to surrendered obedience. Listen to this sermon from the fourth part of our We Are series.
