The Gospel of Luke, chapter two, verse seven, says these words, "And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger…" Now, Christmas to me is, and always has been, an incredible time, as you and I revisit in our minds the birth of Jesus Christ. There has to be a sense of awe that such majesty had chosen to be clothed in weakness and in humility. Has it ever occurred to you that we as the church of Jesus Christ are again the frail humanity and, in a sense, the "swaddling clothes" within which the glory of God dwells? In other words, Jesus Christ has wrapped Himself in us. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for the things that they had heard and seen, and so too our voices must be lifted up again. It's time to pray.
