We are the world!
Back in 1985, Africa was experiencing a massive famine. So, 45 of the biggest musical stars in the world got together to record a song for charity. It sold in excess of 20 million copies making it the 8th best selling physical single of all time.
But- did you know that there were a lot of other things very similar? Like Band Aid, Farm Aid, Artists United Against Apartheid, That's What Friends Are For, Hear N Aid, West Coast Rap All Stars, Voices That Care and Haiti 25.
Hmmmm...sounds like maybe its time for another get together. Someone call Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie...
