Stories of tragedy to triumph are universally beloved. There is something in our hardwiring that longs for wrongs to be made right and for beauty to come from ashes. Our God specializes in the impossible, so the people of God can be a people of hope. We have hope that God will make all things new, that he brings death to life, and hope instead of despair. Ezekiel was given a vision that produces hope. We all need a little hope today.
