Have you ever met a person that made you think the phrase "If only murder was legal"? Well, it's not, so I advise you against causing physical harm to another person. The protagonist of this tale, Peter Pinter wasn't fortunate enough to hear that particular piece of advice, so he goes and does something he regrets.  Quite what he does I cannot tell you for fear of spoiling the story, but I can tell you it involves a department store, a pink newspaper and an annoying dog next door.
