Refa One is an Oakland Native and lifelong artivist and Director of AeroSoul (@AerosoulArt), an international organization of spray can artists from the African Diaspora. Lead artist and Director of the Future is Black mural project that has been vandalized three times in December 2020. There is a GoFundMe set up to support costs of repairing the mural and other mural projects in Oakland.
Leo Carson is an artist, laid off restaurant worker and a member of Socialist Alternative (@SocialistAlt). He sculpted a 400lb ceramic statue of Breonna Taylor in downtown Oakland which has now been vandalized twice.
A GoFundMe campaign to rebuild the Breonna Taylor statue in Oakland has been set up, and raised over $27,000 already.
