A crucial skill for moving into a new way of loving is being comfortable with other people not understanding you or being on the same page. The old way of loving needed everyone to be doing the same things, and used resentment and shame to push everyone in the same direction. In the new way, we know that what works for one person doesn’t need to work for anyone else. We’re learning how to celebrate what works for other people without needing to conform or show up in ways that are inauthentic.
