These days, the world seems to run on coffee. For many Americans, they can’t start their workday without it.

As a barista at Gimme Coffee, Samantha Mason did exactly that: fuel the workforce. But when an issue came up at work, she was forced to make a decision: either quit or fight to improve her working conditions.

Sam chose the latter.
