-Just like people entered the Old Covenant era at Sinai, so here at Jerusalem God's people entered the New Covenant era in which the Holy Spirit was poured out so that every single one of God's people would have a heart to obey.------When we read Acts 2, we should not want to be extraordinary Christians. We should want to be ordinary Christians who are controlled by the Spirit--who evidence it by our obedience to King Jesus, by our faithful speaking of the gospel, and by crossing ethnic barriers to do it. That's what the Spirit has been doing in Christ's Church ever since our birthday.-
