The Amazing Race Canada: Season 11 Ep 8 Recap

This week on We Know Reality TV, Jessica Liese and Dan Heaton strap on their harnesses and dive into the thrills and spills of The Amazing Race Canada Season 11, Episode 8—aptly titled “I’m Just Practicing Falling”. From breath-stealing heights to pulse-pounding challenges, the Race hurdles forward with confidence, tears, and a shocking elimination.

Highlights they’ll unpack:

Teams kick off the leg at Treetop Trekking’s ropes course, scrambling through a maze of aerial obstacles to find Boost drink caches—all before zipping down to the U-Turn vote.

Fans of adrenaline will get a thrill from the jaw-dropping Roadblock: racers must scale the wire strung between the Absolute World towers, ascending hundreds of feet using an ascender. Talk about conquering fears! Wikipedia

The Detour at the quirky JACKALOPE festival pits Roll It Up (a scooter skatepark dash in under 75 seconds) against Break It Down, testing speed, skill, and nerves. Wikipedia

After roaring through the concrete jungle of Mississauga—loading vehicles at Bell Mobility Headquarters, navigating CJ’s Skatepark, and working through tasks at Ornge—teams race to the Pit Stop at J.C. Saddington Park.

The leg ends with grace and heartbreak: Grace & Joe cruise to a first-place finish, securing a trip to Florence, Italy and CA$10,000. Ika & Demetres stay competitive in second, while Lacey & Celia, unable to hang on, are heartbreakingly eliminated.

Jessica and Dan will flex their analysis muscles—diving into who shined under pressure, what strategic missteps played out on the ropes and towers, and what this means for the teams heading into the finale. Expect banter, laughs, and those signature “what would we do?!” moments.
