The recent burning of a Jordanian pilot by ISIS has shocked the world. In it, we see how deep evil can become when people embrace a lie. The fire of evil is only capable of destruction. In contrast to this, the true presence of God sets people free and turns everyone back to a place of light and life.

Listen to the testimony in the book of 1 Kings chapter 18, “It came to pass at the time of the evening sacrifice that Elijah the prophet came near and said, ‘Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and I am your servant, and that I’ve done all these things at your word. Hear me, O Lord, hear me that this people may know that you are the Lord God, and that you have turned their hearts back to you again.’ Then the fire of the Lord fell, when all the people saw it,” in verse 39, “they fell on their faces: and they said, ‘The Lord, he is God: the Lord, he is God.’“
