This was a very emotional podcast for me, as we both have roots in the former Yugoslavia - and the war orchestrated on this country created big scars on our souls.

‘CNN was presenting the whole thing from one side… that opened my eyes’ in conversation with artist Elena Naskova

Welcome to the second episode to "Persona Non Filtered" podcast. Today I talk to artist Hazuki Fukuda who is part of the group exhibition call on the freedom of #JulianAssange curated by Salonrogue in Leipzig Germany.



Hazuki told me about her way into the art world, and how she faced racism in her daily life, what led her into leaving her "office job" to than go on full risk in turning her life around. She understand this as a calling from within to change her life. Very touching the conversation went as Hazuki talked about her grandfather, an artist who had to fight in the Second World War, and was forced by the Japanese government to paint pictures which praised the war. All of this made Hazuki aware of Julian Assange case and how important it is to all of us for him to be free, and only when he is free - we will be free.

We need to build a world where freedom of speech is completely acknowledged - In conversation with Hazuki Fukuda

 In dieser Episode spreche ich mit der wundervollen Iman Haki.
Iman ist vor 11 Jahren für ihr Studium von Marokko nach Leipzig gezogen. Derzeit schreibt sie an ihrer Dissertation.  Iman und Ich haben  uns vor circa 1,5 Jahren kennengelernt und uns beide verbindet die Liebe zur abstrakten Malerei. 
Für den Podcast hatte sich Iman gewünscht über die heilende Wirkung von Kunst zu sprechen, und wie besorgniserregend die derzeitigen Situation und das "Kunstverbot" sich auf unsere Seelen Gesundheit auswirkt. 
Dennoch haben wir viel gelacht in diesem Podcast, wir brauchten wohl etwas "Comic-Relief".
