After 8 years, of sharing life and growing up together, their relationship took an unexpected turn. Glen and Katie met in college, started dating, eventually moved in with each other, and became happy cat owners. They had their ups and downs like all couples but it seemed like Katie got more distant over time. 

She was from the Mainland and missed her friends and family. Her visits home got longer and longer. After her last trip home, she and Glen both knew they were breaking up. 

For Glen, the breakup hit hard. He stayed in their home and suddenly it was an empty shell. In order to move on he wrestled through waves of grief and sorrow, until recently, when being alone went unnoticed!
