We are hunkered down for another week of social distancing and it looks like concerts will be a thing of the past. We at the Wine, Dine, and Storytime podcast feel bad about this. Since we can’t have concerts for the foreseeable future, we figure we may as well speak negatively on the matter to take the sting out of it. This week Dana tells us about the Berlin Love Parade tragedy that took the lives of 21 people and Nydia tells us about Steven Paddock and the 2017 Las Vegas concert shootings. If this doesn’t take the sting out of missing concerts, we don’t know what will.
For dinner, the theme was tailgating. Dana made delicious bunless burgers, wings and fries. Nydia tried her hand at cracker toffee which was essentially saltines, covered in caramel, chocolate, and nuts. The wine this week was canned wine! We tried First Press Ruby Red Rose. We never had canned wine before and it was delicious. But be careful, they go down smooth and before you know it you’ve had the equivalent of a bottle and a half of wine. Tread lightly on this one.
