Should we invest in exploring space? Is it the right thing to prioritize right now? This is a question that has been highly debated for hundreds of years, and is still highly debated today. With the eclipse that we experienced in the US this month, we wanted to begin a conversation in looking into whether or not we should continue our efforts of understanding our solar system and universe. 

We will break out the question into several different viewpoints, beginning with asking the question from a strictly technological standpoint, and presenting an argument in favor of continuing to explore space exploration. We will look at some of the technology that has come from our space focused missions that benefit us directly and help us address issues that we face here on Earth (such as satellite technology and some of its many uses).
