The world's best palliative care is found in the UK, and yet will be under threat if a bill to decriminalise assisted suicide is introduced.
"Wouldn't it be wonderful if as a parliament and government, we would look to palliative care being made accessible for all, for care at the end of life, not state-sanctioned killing. For hope, not despair."
Our chief executive Andrea Williams shares with Nick Ferrari on LBC why introducing assisted suicide as "simply an option" will place the vulnerable at even greater risk, as seen in the Netherlands and Canada, where it is being offered as a form of medical treatment to ever-growing groups of people.
