Romans 13:1

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

It is the duty of Christians and others to help establish and support human government for the preservation of society and promotion of the highest good of man.

To neglect good government is to neglect the salvation of souls.
