Super El Niño is here. Does that mean snow for South Carolina this winter? First Alert Chief Meteorologist Kendra Kent and Meteorologist Jake Grant cut through the hype and explain what the pattern really changes.
An El Niño event that began in June is forecast to peak in November–December and could last into early spring 2027. Snow still depends on cold air, and the severe weather risk in the Carolinas isn't "crazy high" compared with Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi. In this episode:
