They interpreted the phrase "without authorization" in the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act narrowly, affirming the preliminary injunction against LinkedIn. This decision was based on the understanding that data on platforms like LinkedIn are publicly available, and the data scraping company utilized bots to gather information from LinkedIn.
