In episode 38 of Web3 Warriors, Krome interviews Kane Mayfield and Porkchop, two NFT creators with "crypto art" on the Counterparty BTC marketplace. Porkchop shares the story behind his KekNWessun Fake Rare and why he views BTC crypto art as distinct from the more recent NFTs built on smart contracts. Kane talks about his journey from "failed struggle rapper" to selling music for Ethereum, Bitcoin and Tezos on the blockchain to new audiences. He shared his Handprints NFT project and more recent Reaganomics project, and their interesting cross-chain mechanics.

After sharing their web3 journeys, both guests highlighted the way the BTC art community is not focused on the "return on investment" or monetary gains as much as the memes and the culture. Importantly, the BTC art community started in 2013 and is older than the recent NFT community that exploded in 2021 on Ethereum and Tezos.  Tune in to learn about the Bitcoin crypto art community and the potential for artists to repurpose their music for a new web3 audience.
