Digital markets are challenging the application of antitrust law due to the rapid pace of technological development. The Brazilian government is in an advanced stage of discussing a bill on the economic regulation of digital platforms, which should be introduced in Congress soon. This proposal would take into account the recommendations made in October 2024 by the Secretariat for Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Finance, based on a public consultation and an in-depth study of these markets and the different regulatory approaches.
This webinar offers an opportunity to hear the perspective of experts and key actors in this debate, provoking reflections on the experience of the European Union and the United Kingdom, and the work of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense in digital markets.
Special attention will be given to the interoperability obligations that have been imposed in these jurisdictions, facilitating a dialogue on the advantages and challenges of the different regulatory models.
