Yesterday (Sunday) the Special Investigating Unit hosted the first of a series of webinars that will shine the spotlight on the importance of whistleblowing in South Africa. One of the panellists Adv Thuli Madonsela called for the expansion of legislation in an effort to protect whistle-blowers.  Former head of the Asset Forfeiture Unit, Willie Hofmeyr spoke more on the risk the whistle-blowers are facing.
