Welcome to the debut of a (hopefully!) new regular feature to the Handsome Genius Club Radio Show: WIKIPEDIA WEDNESDAY!!!  Every (or at least many) Wednesdays, I will pick a random, sometimes weird, sometimes silly, hopefully entertaining Wikipedia article and read it on the show.

Of course, there’ll be plenty of commentary and sidetracking during the read, as there is today with this first Wiki-Wednesday featuring a now-defunct minor league hockey team from Connecticut named the Danbury Trashers!

Yup… the “TRASHERS”.

They are fascinating… from their owner to how they got their nickname to how they hired their general manger to their success or failure on the ice.  Even the reasons why they no longer exist are amazing.
