As born again Christians, the Holy Spirit has been given us a new heart that desires to please God. However, if we cease to feed our new spirit man but instead foolishly make room for the old man, we will continue to live as prisoners to sin. In today’s message, Pastor Ed admonishes us to not allow ourselves to once again get entangled in fleshly pursuits. If we fix our eyes on Jesus and remember that this world and its pleasures are temporary, we can put to death the works of the flesh and its carnality.
