James, the earthly brother of Jesus, encourages us to count all hardships as joy and challenges us to not only know God's word, but obey it as well. He explains the purpose of walking in the truth of what God has revealed to us and the importance of staying unstained from the world. Staying connected to Christ will be what allows our faith, perserverance and endurance to stretch and grow.
