In today’s passage, we’ll witness Jesus calling a Canaanite woman a dog. When you first read His words, it’s a bit shocking. It seems to go against the gracious, kind character we know and love. But, as Pastor Marc will clarify in today’s message, Jesus’ words weren’t delivered as an insult, but with tenderness. The word He used could be better translated as referring to a helpless puppy. He then goes on to compliment her faith as being great and He heals her daughter exactly as she asked.
