Wednesday Westwood is a punk rock drag queen from Rochester who specializes in highly detailed conceptual looks. Drawing on her training as a painter & tattoo artist, she has crafted a unique & arresting aesthetic that is distinctly her own. Her interpretations of villains such as the Penguin and Vlad the Impaler, as well as those that have sprung from her own imagination, have become iconic in their own right. Like her namesakes - Wednesday Addams & Vivienne Westwood - Wednesday is a creepy beauty with a sharp wit and sardonic sense of style. 

We chat with Wednesday about growing up, how she discovered drag, and her first kiss!

Grizzly Kiki began in April 2014 as a pop culture and drag-centric podcast hosted by Robert &amp; Daniel. The podcast is equal parts oral history and good old-fashioned kiki. We’ve found that there were few platforms where queer artists could talk about their work and themselves in an open and honest way. Our mission is to create a comfortable and safe environment, where these artists can share their histories and experiences. Ours is an intersectional podcast that is meant to serve the queer community by capturing artists’ voices and making them available to the public.
