Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.

It is human nature to manufacture meaning when there is no logical understanding of our suffering. So, we call our suffering God's punishment. We could never be more wrong. God does not punish. God only loves.
