And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
Excerpt:
This morning I received a text with a picture of a dear friend who is celebrating 6 years of sobriety from alcohol. I rejoiced with her and encouraged her because I know her struggle. I also know that every day she wakes up and makes the decision to stay sober. Positive permanent transformation requires a life-time commitment for all of us. Either we are in for the long haul or not at all.
