This week, Wednesday’s Word of Truth will launch a new series called “Survive to Thrive.” Every Wednesday for the next 12 weeks we will listen, as our guests speak their truth about how they overcame tragedy, and trauma to become the amazing world changers they are today. These sisters and brothers didn't just survive they went on to thrive.

Our first guest is Mr. John Nurse who is  formerly of Atlantic Records, BET, and Sony Music Entertainment. John is now the Founder and  CEO of tech company  LYVEaffair.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and although not known by most people, John was diagnosed with dyslexia around the 5th grade. He says dyslexia, “Forced me to find other ways outside the traditional learning protocols applied in majority educational institutions, to help me succeed in school, career, and overall life.”

Today, John is an unstoppable force at negotiating and networking in high stakes media arenas. He attributes his success to his ability to turn a so-called deficit into a demonstration of what a supportive family, hard work, and faith will do.
