Where is your allegiance? Is it with Jesus, or with a popular church teacher? Or with your Sunday School leader? Or your pastor? Loving service and faithful obedience is a great trait, but our allegiance should lie with no one besides Jesus.

Paul talks about the divisions in Corinth between the people who gave their allegiance to one of the popular teachers of the day instead of to Jesus.
