Philippians 1:1-6
Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all God’s holy people in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Here are my answers below:
What does this passage teach me about God?
He finishes what he starts. He can be trusted. He is so kind and gracious to make me a part of His story. He is a faithful God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Though I may fail, he never does. His promises can be trusted. AND, he’s coming back again! (Vs. 6)
What does this passage teach me about myself?
I’m set apart. I’m a partner in the Gospel. I get to participate in God’s grand story of redemption. What a privilege.
How will this passage change the way I live?
This recalibrates me. It refocuses my mission in life. I’m a partner of the Gospel, with my eyes on eternity and Christ’s return. I’m going to stop wasting time and ask God to sanctify me to make me more like Jesus each and every day.
