WOOCAST was broadcast live from Polar Park only on 97.9 FM Unity Radio, currently the highest rated baseball program in Worcester, MA with Executive Producer Ernie Floyd.
A special thanks to the Worcester Red Sox, they are a first-class organization and took care of our crew. Thank you, Mr. Wanless, for providing us outstanding seats, Jeremy Bandy, The BINK, Mr. Tom Wells, and I enjoyed a wonderful experience.
WOOCAST is sponsored by Forty Second Brew Co, owned by friend and former teammate Steve Darby. Mr. Wells and I made the journey down to Kingston, MA to experience the place in the flesh. They have a variety of pilsners, lagers, and IPA's, along with a fantastic tasting room. With an outdoor deck and good food, make the trip to Forty Second Brew Co and head to their website at www.fortysecondbrewco.com.
We recap the week on the road for the Sox and seeing improvements. When they develop consistency, the team has a wealth of talent that can beat anyone. I also interviewed a few kids on the air; however I may have scared them, and they didn't really answer my questions
Friday night, Worcester lost to Syracuse 4-2 and they missed opportunities with runners in scoring position a few times. Saturday, it was like a different team showed up, Cooper Criswell pitched 4 scoreless innings for the Sox as they shut out Syracuse 4-0. The Mustache Man Mickey Gaspar hit a 2 run Home Run in the 6th inning, Mata pitched the 8th and 9th to close out a big win.
Husky Talk sponsor and friend Sean Rabinowitz came to the game Saturday with his family. We had a tremendous time, and his daughter was very thoughtful. She heard me say the cotton candy looked good and asked her dad to order some.... only to give it to me. Sean has a special family; his wife is extremely nice, and I loved watching his son Ben have a memorable moment attending his first baseball game.
Mr. Wells and I had an amazing weekend, totally worth the trip. Again, thank you Mr. Wanless and the entire Worcester Red Sox organization for being so good to us!
