The storyline of Israel continues as the book of 2 Kings narrates the story of the divided kingdom between Israel and Judah. Unfortunately, with the exception of a few godly kings in Judah, most of the kings in Israel and in Judah forget the Lord, leading to God's judgement on the nation: exile. The book concludes with Assyria and Babylon, the worlds powers at that time, capturing the nation and destroying the temple.
