After a thoroughly reviewed history of Israel during the times of Kings in the books 1-2 Kings and 1-2 Chronicles, the story of God's people continues into Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. In the same way 2 Chronicles ends with a peculiar hope with the Pagan King Cyrus interested in re-building the temple, Ezra continues the story line as Cyrus commissions the Jewish exiles to return to Jerusalem to re-build the temple. In this episode, Brent and Trent discuss life returning from exile, and how Ezra's attentiveness to the Scriptures should inform the Christian life today.
