Cornelius is a family man, a Roman army officer, well respected by the Jews, and a man who made an impact among his family, relatives, close friends, and in the city through his faith, example, and influence. He responded to God. His conversion was a major stepping stone in advancing God's kingdom in the empire's capital and later to the Gentile world.
