God is going after self, more than sin. How are we to imitate God? In kindness, forgiveness, thanksgiving. When I resource myself, these dynamics of Christ become absent rather than present. Getting caught out by the Lord is always unto freedom, not punishment. When God asks us where we are, He’s looking for an honest answer because He’s trying to reveal to us where our heart is far from His. An honest heart never goes unrewarded. We are not judged by Jesus, but rather by the Words the Father has given us to live by, and whether we are or not. Be careful how you hear.
