As Jesus stepped in as our High Priest, the entire priesthood system of Israel seemed to change. Actually, it was fulfilled on a higher level. Our souls can’t keep us in faith. We must return to the Word daily and return to submission to the Lord.  

The kingdom of Israel is ripped from Saul through his act of severe presumption and disobedience and given to a shepherd boy, revealing that the man after God’s heart longs for God’s approval over man’s approval. Prolonged problems in our lives are never resolved by encouragement, but only by conviction.

Pride and arrogance reign in Nebuchadnezzar’s and Belshazar’s kingdoms, but Daniel remains submitted to the Lord God. Lord, locate us, convict us, find us, and turn us to see Jesus: the one and only who can save, heal, and deliver us!
