This is the first of three weeks that we’ll be reading through the book of Jeremiah together. It’s an amazing epic that is the longest book of the Bible (by word count) and one of the great, though tragic stories of scripture.

In these chapters we’ll be introduced to Jeremiah as a very young man and we’ll be introduced to the Rule of the Reluctant Prophet.

Despite his misgivings, we’ll see Jeremiah stand bravely to give a hard word to the people. We’ll see the people reject him for false prophets. We’ll also see the depth of the people’s sins that are bringing about God’s anger and Jeremiah’s prophecies.
