Two years after their collaboration on A History of Violence, David Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen reunited for Eastern Promises, their brutal examination of London's Russian mob, originally released on September 14, 2007.

Eastern Promises was directed by David Cronenberg from a screenplay by Steven Knight, and starred Naomi Watts, Viggo Mortensen, Armin Mueller-Stahl, and Vincent Cassel.
