Episode 8 - Falkland Sheep
This week we’re talking about the sheep on the Falkland Islands! We also meander our way through our Spin Together coma (and possible plans for next year), upcoming episodes, upcoming guests, and a little sneak at some of the bonus episodes.
A couple of episode notes…
Allie wondered about the number of sheep on the island. Turns out there are approximately 490,000 sheep on the Falkland Islands. By comparison, the number of people on the islands is about 3,700. This means there are about 123 sheep per person. Wowza!!
We also talked about wanting to know wool processing and exporting information, and most of that can be found on the Falkland Woolgrowers UK website along with the Falkland Island Government website (links below)
