Beltane is here, the Celtic Cross-Quarter Holiday that beckons the Sun in its glory to nourish the fields of our lives. To give thanks in celebration for the gift of life that has been handed to use directly from our Ancestors. A Fire Festival that welcomes Belenus, the Sun God, to once again bless the Earth with the force of life itself, that gifts us with abundance + resource. Taurus season huzzah!

AND -- Venus enters Taurus this week. A reminder of how we can enjoy the physicality of our experience here on Earth. Even and ESPECIALLY when the reality of this world becomes heavy + overwhelming, it is easy to disconnect from the world and become isolated in our minds.

Beauty is an active force, one that invites us into reconnection with the Divine Nature unfolding before us, in every moment. When we take time to come into presence with this dance, beauty itself can remind us of the immanence of the Divine reality. We are the dancer, and the dance itself.

I share two different creation myths from Śakta Tantra + Samkhya philosophy, that have been hugely helpful for me in re-membering this dance of the Divine as it takes place at the threshold of my 5 senses.

Within the exalted expression of Venus in Taurus over the next few weeks, there is an invitation to connect with the world around you, through the gateway of your Holy Body. To remember that this meatsuit is also a spectacular vehicle for the Soul, the Divine Presence, hidden within its immaculate design.

The Great Mother is hidden within everything; a play of hide + seek. In moments of divine beauty, She reveals Herself to us (Herself)...
