Oof. Mercury is in the microwave, and it’s showing. How ya feelin out there? Are things a lil crunchy edgy, or perhaps smooth sailing? Without labeling the conditions as good or bad, simply noticing without judgement what IS. That is the practice for these times.
Mercury retrograde is from August 5-28th. It began its retrograde in Virgo (ouch) and will regress back into Leo this week. We are retracing our steps. We are taking it back ten paces, to return to the Heart and ask ourselves honestly; am I clear on what I care about? What is blocking my total investment and devotion into this heart-fire? Where can I acknowledge that perhaps there is some time for real reflection needed here?
When any planet is retrograde, it is an opportunity to pause for these few weeks and take some time for inward reflection. NOT to try and make anything happen, but to simply notice where there might be some much needed tending to our inner processes. To witness what arises, and without judgement, simply meet the moment as best we can. To peacefully abide in the seat of observation, and learn what it might be trying to show us.
There are a few crunchy moments with Mars this week, which can intensify energies and feel overwhelming indeed. On Wednesday, Mars will come conjunct Jupiter — in Gemini. Hold onto your butts. It is possible the winds feel too strong to bear, the mind might be overwhelmed by the velocity. Take it slow. Nothing needs to happen right now.
On Friday, Mars in Gemini then comes to a screeching halt as it squares Saturn in Pisces. Cockblock. What momentum or exuberance we might’ve picked up on Wednesday meets the sobering reality check of Saturnian contraction. A bit of a buzzkill. And still, nothing needs to happen right now. Take it in stride and try to remember that reality checks are sometimes necessary for keeping us aligned with truth we might not otherwise acknowledge. Saturn’s bitter medicine is often full of deep wisdom.
Take it slow. Keep it simple. Do nothing, as best you can. Just watch and listen. Observe from neutral-center. Meet the moment. Abide in the presence of WHAT IS.
I love you. We got this.
