Weekend Mayhem: Eluding Suspects and Gunfire in Tulsa

Dec. 30: Near Apache and N. David Patrick Avenue, police responded to street racing. Officers spotted a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo with no headlights running a stop sign and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle eluded, leading to a pursuit terminated for public safety. It crashed off the I-244 northbound ramp to Highway 169. Driver Spencer Davis, 19, and a 15-year-old passenger fled but were caught. Davis charged with child endangerment, eluding, aggravated DUI. Passenger charged with joyriding, obstruction. Both in custody. KTUL reports.

Dec. 30: Near 58th Street North and North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, multiple rounds fired into a north Tulsa home. An 8-year-old girl suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her hand. First responders provided aid; she was hospitalized. Suspect vehicle spotted near 3600 block of North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, leading to brief pursuit ending in crash near 38th Street North and 33rd West Avenue. Driver Keveione Shields, 23, arrested. Charged with assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into occupied dwelling, eluding, shooting firearm from vehicle. Investigation ongoing. KTUL reports.
