Skeptic Siouxsie Wiles joins RadioLIVE's Graeme Hill to expose this weeks woos and scams. First up Graeme and Siouxsie take a look at some sonic mouse and rat repellents that are sweeping the market. Check out a video promoting the traps here. This week a judge in the USA allowed a class-action lawsuit to go ahead against a company that sells and markets mouse the rat repellent machines that use ultrasonic sound to apparently drive pests out. The lawsuit was filed in 2015 by people who are seeking unspecified damages. Then they take a look at belly button healing. Siouxsie take a look at a new probiotics study. A really interesting study was just published that looked at the impact of probiotics in a small group of healthy people. Whats different about this study is that other probiotic studies look at gut bacteria by looking at whats present in poo samples from people they did that but also took samples from all through the gut using endoscopies and colonoscopies. They found that many people are what they called resistant to being colonised by probiotic bacterial strains, with those bacteria just passing straight through. Finally Siouxsie and Graeme take a gander at the war on Infowars. Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones show Infowars has been permanently banned from Twitter. This comes after Apple removed the App from the App store and YouTube and Facebook have taken down Infowars videos and channels. Some of Jones top theories are as follows:
1. Lady Gagas Super Bowl Halftime Show would be a cover for a satanic rite
2. Bill and Melinda Gates are eugenicists trying to wipe out minorities
3. The Government is manipulating the weather to murder people on demand
Then Graeme takes a look at penguins. Penguins go to the ocean supermarket every day, but exactly how hard they work and how far they travel will surprise you.
