What is the Reason-Respective Tendency and what is the biggest concern for New Zealanders?
Jonathan Dodd, Research Director at Ipsos joins Graeme Hill to discuss the top six issues facing New Zealanders today.
Housing issues are the biggest concern for New Zealanders, with 41 per cent of the 600 researched putting it ahead of poverty and inequality concerns.
The research also shows wealthier households are more concerned about crime and poorer households are more concerned about healthcare.
Mr Dodd says they've found men were much more likely to be worried about drug and alcohol issues however woman were more concerned with the cost of living.
Cognitive Biases: The Reason-Respective Tendency explains we do things better / follow instructions better when there is an apparently sound reason for doing so.
