Good Evening VAPA Community! This Dr. Trimis with your first set of announcements for the Spring semester and 2017. Happy New Year! There is no school Monday this week due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Buenas noches en la comunidad VAPA! Este Dr. Trimis con su primer conjunto de anuncios para el semestre de primavera y 2017. Feliz Año Nuevo! No hay escuela el lunes esta semana debido a las vacaciones de Martin Luther King, Jr.

We will have auditions for our Spring musical, High School Musical, this week beginning Tuesday, January 17, at 3:15 in the MPR. Students may audition from any of our Legacy schools and should bring a head shot or 8x10 photo of themselves and be dressed in clothing appropriate for dancing. All students will audition on singing and dancing with leads reading from the show.

 We will be visiting most of our feeder middle schools in January and February as we recruit 8th graders for VAPA’s Class of 2021. The Zone of Choice selection is in February. Please assist us with spreading the word about all the wonderful things happening at Legacy VAPA!

 This week we will have our opening Color Guard meeting on Friday, January 20, at 3:15 pm in the Music Room. Color Guard, which takes elements of dance, tall flags, marching, and more,  will compete in several Saturday competitions throughout Southern California this Spring. There is an example of a color guard show on our website and more information as well as social media links at www.vapalegacy.com. Please support our student athletes as they continue in their Winter seasons including our cheer team who have already gone to two events.
