Weekly Announcements
March 4, 2017

Good evening VAPA Community. This is Dr. Trimis with your weekly announcements. Monday is a shortened day. Buenas noches Comunidad VAPA. Este es el Dr. Trimis con sus anuncios semanales. El lunes es un día acortado.
March is Women’s History Month, Social Work Month, Arts Education Month, and Music in Our Schools Month. Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the Eastside Arts Festival at Torres High School on Saturday. We brought 37 students in 5 performing groups on three different stages representing our dance program, instrumental and vocal music program, and drama program. Congratulations also to our new color guard who had their first competition on Saturday. They will be competing at shows throughout Southern California every weekend for the next several weeks. Are you in the new afterschool drumline program? Listen for announcements, rehearsals will start soon, probably either this week or next week. And lastly, a big congratulations to our legacy Girls Basketball Team who fought a tough battle against El Camino Real Charter High School last Wednesday ending their bid for a 3rd place title. They will now continue on to the State Championships because they are in the Open Division, the highest level that teams can play in CIF. Their next game is at Independence High School on March 8 in Bakersfield.
Have a great week and I’ll see you at school.
Take Care,
Dr. Edward Trimis, Principal
